I saw one of my favorite artists on stage back in October of 2015. Grace Jones, all of 67 years old (!!) performed in Oakland and left everyone who saw her astonished. She was incredible! She released her autobiography shortly after, titled 'I'll Never Write My Memoirs'. Of course I preordered it looooong before it was to be released (duh). In it, she talks about being offered lots of financial and celebrity opportunities that she turned down to stay true to herself. She said the quote and it resonated. I had to add it to my Type Note Series stat!
