My show ‘Tell Me Three Things I Can Do / Return To Sender’ ran from early September to the end of October at the Perish Trust’s new(ish) gallery space called Perish_ables. The show was generated in response to the insane phrases I received from white friends, enemies and acquaintances in the wake of the horrific death of George Floyd. These pieces take the harmful words I had received and reflect them back on to the speaker, forcing them to take responsibility. It felt important for me to document and reflect, mainly because my soul and sanity demanded it.
