As we’re winding down on a momentous year of turmoil and transition, I’ve been thinking into the layers of the issues we’ve been forced to confront. We’ve had to absorb death and loss and pain on such a staggering level, how do you even begin to make sense of it. Sitting down to write it this week stirred up the stories of the losses in my community, and the strangers who’ve had to say goodbye to their loved ones, while separated from them. It’s so cruel, this world. And yet, we still have the unique opportunity to grieve, honor the pain, and come out on the other side.
