After my trip to Mexico City, I realized my one regret from that trip was that I didn't get to see the inside of Casa Barragán, the studio of architect Luis Ramiro Barragán Morfín. I read a lot about him on the flight back and his philosophy on design. I did a late night ink brush portrait study on newsprint soon after. His quest to find the emotional nature of architecture has really resonated with me. That philosophy has always been behind my creative output. I'm looking to discover more of that in my continuing studio practice.
