I’m putting up the original cover paintings that I did for a few special features in the San Francisco Chronicle’s Food + Home section. The specific theme for this one was “MATRIARCHY” and collected stories and beloved memories of matriarchs in the food community (including a dear interview with my favorite person in the world: my grandmother Lyris Holder). The final was executed using gouache and ink.
