Inspired by the cover of his book, Illustrated Black History, George McCalman decided to recreate his cover using colored pencils. This piece was originally produced for an art installation along Divisadero St. in San Francisco. Titled ‘Community,’ this piece reflects the diaspora in conversation with itself.
