I was so astonished by Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her (natural) ability to reflect the misogyny and racism directed at her in order to return it to its owner. It wasn’t even just a rebuke of sexism, it was her delivery. I read her words, and then I read them again. Even more amazing when you know that she didn’t read from a pre-written speech. She spoke from a lived-in place. She spoke with fortitude and she spoke with anger and she spoke with clarity. I was inspired by her. Again.
